Individually quick frozen (IQF) hand-picked wild porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis, cep) by Borde.
Porcini is considered the king of forest mushrooms, with juicy fruit and toasted hazelnut aromas. Picked in autumn, ceps grow in both deciduous and coniferous forests. Our dried premium porcini are a mix of different varieties of porcini (boletus: edulis/aereus/pinicola/reticulatus). They will add the perfect flavor to your sauces, and go wonderfully with meat, poultry, game, omelettes, quiches.
Natural product with no additives, no coloring, no flavoring, no preservatives.
The French Maison Borde is the expert in wild mushrooms in Europe since 1920 and an ambassador of French gastronomy worldwide.
The "IQF" (Individually Quick Frozen) process allows for the individual freezing of products without the formation of crystals and the risk of food clumping together. This is particularly the case with frozen mushrooms, which can contain up to 90% water. Thanks to freezing, the organoleptic qualities of the mushrooms are preserved (appearance, taste, texture, etc.). At Borde, they are stored and preserved in a negative cold room at -18 degrees.
